The Kronos HR Platform and Its Modules

Kronos HR is a modular platform that covers everything you need to manage your workforce efficiently. You can select the modules you need, combine them according to your operations, and expand them as you grow. We currently offer modules focused on daily HR operations, and more features are on the way. Below is our current suite and a preview of what’s coming:

Kronos HR Starter

Your HR Starting Point:

  • The Starter module is the foundation of our platform. It includes essential employee management: a digital file per employee with personal information, contracts, documents, and important notes. Forget physical folders and scattered spreadsheets, Starter centralizes all your team’s information in one place, accessible from anywhere.
  • It also includes basic vacation and absence management, so you can log who’s off and for how long. Starter is ideal for digitizing your HR from scratch and is simple to use, even without technical expertise.
  • Key Features of Starter:
    Complete employee records, basic organizational chart, document management (upload and store contracts, signed payslips, etc.), basic HR reports (e.g., employee list, birthdays, seniority), and integration with the Time module for attendance tracking. 
It’s the first step toward modernizing your workforce management.

Kronos HR Time

Time & Attendance Made Simple.

  • The Time module lets you manage work hours and employee check-ins accurately and effortlessly. With Time, your team can clock in and out with just one click—either from a computer or via the Kronos HR mobile app.
    No more paper logs or reminders for staff to track their hours—the system automatically records their workdays.
  • Time also helps you monitor absences and lateness. Employees can request vacations or time off through the platform, and you can approve them with just a couple of clicks.
  • Everything is recorded: who’s working, who’s on leave, how much overtime has accumulated… This ensures accurate payroll calculations and compliance with labor laws (especially important to avoid penalties).
  • Key Features of Time:
    Digital clock-in/out with optional location tracking, integrated absence calendar (vacation, sick leave, personal days), alerts for attendance issues (e.g., missed punches), and time reports by employee or department.

Kronos HR Shifts

Simplified Shift Scheduling.

  • The Shifts module is designed for companies working with rotating or variable schedules (restaurants, retail, 24/7 services, etc.).
  • Planning who works each day can be a headache, but Kronos HR Shifts makes it visual and intuitive. Build weekly or monthly shift calendars by dragging and dropping employees into their assigned slots.
  • Need to cover a last-minute shift? Quickly see who’s available or who’s nearing overtime.
  • Is someone unable to make their shift? Notify the whole team with one click to find a replacement or adjust the calendar and everyone sees the change instantly in their app.
  • Each employee can view their schedule through the mobile app—keeping everyone updated and avoiding confusion. Say goodbye to endless message chains: Shifts ensures clarity for all.
  • Key Features of Shifts:
    Centralized calendar with daily, weekly, and monthly views; shift templates (e.g., predefined morning/afternoon/night shifts); automatic notifications when shifts are posted or updated; and hour tracking per employee to monitor rest periods and work compliance.
  • Integrated with the Time module so scheduled shifts can be compared to actual hours worked—helping you spot inconsistencies or make adjustments.

Kronos HR Operations

The Complete Suite for Daily HR Operations.

  • Operations is the all-in-one bundle of Kronos HR’s essential tools: Starter + Time + Shifts, integrated into a single solution..
  • With the Operations suite, you have a unified ecosystem where information flows seamlessly between modules: employee data from Starter combines with attendance records from Time and with shift planning from Shifts. That means when generating a report on hours worked, you also see each employee’s job position—providing a fuller picture. Or when approving a day off in the Time calendar, that employee is automatically marked as unavailable in Shifts for that week.
  • Operations covers all day-to-day HR needs: from onboarding new employees and managing their records, to monitoring attendance and organizing their work schedules.
  • It’s the best option if you want full control with one tool—and it’s more cost-effective than purchasing individual modules. But you can also start small with just Starter, and add Time or Shifts when needed.
Note: “Operations” is simply the combination of our current modules. You can always begin with Starter and expand over time—or subscribe to the full suite if you already know you’ll need all the functionality from day one.
